The *WFN Global User Rankings bring completed seasons from the selected WFN leagues into one table. They reward both strong performance against league opponents and championship success, while giving more weight to recent seasons.

How the score works

Start with completed seasons

Only completed seasons from the selected leagues are considered. For every league season, an owner’s raw points are compared with that league’s average:

Compare performance within each league

normalized points = (owner points / league-average points) × 100 × √(teams / 20)

This makes 100 the average performance in a 20-team league. The square-root team factor recognises the additional difficulty of deeper leagues without letting league size dominate the score. A 30-team league, for example, has a factor of about 1.22. Raw points are shown in the contribution details for context, but do not directly make up the ranking score.

Weight entry fees without letting them dominate

Paid leagues receive a fee multiplier because they have an entry fee. It uses diminishing returns, with $20 as the reference fee and a $50 cap:

fee multiplier = 1 + 0.5 × √(min(entry fee, 50) / 20)

An unpaid league has a 1× multiplier. A $5 paid league receives 1.25×, a $20 league 1.5×, and a $30 league about 1.61×. This multiplier is applied to the normalised score before any finishing-position multiplier.

Reward titles and finals

Champions receive a further 3× multiplier and runners-up a further 1.5× multiplier; all other finishes use 1×. There is no fixed championship or runner-up bonus. In short:

league-season score = normalised points × paid-league multiplier × finishing-position multiplier

Keep the two strongest results each season

An owner must have participated in at least two included leagues to appear in the rankings. For each season, only their two highest league-season scores count. This rewards strong multi-league performance without allowing a large number of entries in one season to dominate the score. Scores are summed, never averaged by the number of leagues.

Prioritise recent seasons and recognise co-managers

The resulting season score is weighted by its age: the latest two completed seasons count at 100%, seasons three and four at 70%, seasons five and six at 30%, and older seasons do not count. An owner’s global score is the sum of these weighted season contributions. Co-managers receive equal credit for a season in which they are listed as co-owners.
